What's a Vanpool?
UTA leases vans to people like you who travel to and from similar locations. Most vanpools have seven to 15 passengers and they split the cost evenly. Vanpools help you make your commute time productive and improve air quality, too.
How Much Does it Cost to Join a Vanpool?
Vanpool fare depends on the distance traveled. The average commute is approximately 80 miles per day, which is about $170 per month. The cost includes fuel, maintenance, insurance, and leasing the vehicle. For more information click here for pricing or email utarideshare@rideuta.com.
Employer Support
Employers can support vanpoolers by sponsoring the vanpool or by creating a pre-tax transit benefit, similar to a Health Savings Account. The IRS allows vanpoolers to deduct up to $255 a month with this pre-tax transit benefit.
