Project Description:
UTA will perform maintenance on the FrontRunner rail crossings at Main Street and Center Street in North Salt Lake. Work will begin once the last train is through on Main Street, North Salt Lake, on October 12 at 11 p.m., Work is expected to be complete by 6 p.m. on October 13. No rider impacts are expected. The roads will be closed near the crossings during construction.

Start of Construction for Center St: Saturday, October 12, 2024
End of Construction for Center St: Sunday, October 13, 2024
Regular Service Resumes: Monday, October 14, 2024
Start of Construction for N Main St: Saturday, October 19, 2024
End of Construction for N Main St: Sunday, October 20, 2024
Regular Service Resumes: Monday, October 21, 2024
What to Expect:
- Riders: No impacts are expected.
- Drivers: MainStreet and Center Street roads near the crossing will be closed during construction hours. Seek alternate routes during the construction period.
- Area residents: 24/7 construction noise from heavy equipment and vehicles; nighttime construction noise and lighting; noise, dust, vibrations.
Project Purpose & Benefit:
Maintaining the FrontRunner lines allows UTA to continue reliable operations in the North Salt Lake area. Regular maintenance will minimize future construction impacts and improve service quality.
Regular Service Resumes:
Monday, October 14 for Main Street, and Monday, October 21, for Center Street.
